Stairlifts
mobility ideasThat’s why it is worth investing in a lift to take you up and down your stairs as necessary. It doesn’t get in the way of anyone else using the stairs, and it can make life so much easier again too.
Stairlifts are designed to be ‘one of a kind’ items. It doesn’t matter what shape your stairs are, or whether they are straight or curved. You can have the lift designed and installed to exactly the right specifications for your home.
Many people find that their lives are permanently changed for the better once they have one fitted. There are plenty of people who can walk around with virtually no trouble at all, and yet when it comes to using the stairs it can be a real struggle. Knee problems are one of the most common culprits in many cases. Yet if you can sit back in a chair and be taken upstairs nice and easily, you will feel much more confident and more able to move around your house more freely.
It’s advisable to contact more than one company with regard to discussing stairlifts and having one installed in your home. This will enable you to see who offers a good all round service, as well as aftercare and advice should you need it. There are several models of lift available too, so you will need to think about which one you want to invest in. For example, a slimline version would be ideal if you have particularly narrow stairs or an old house.
Bear in mind however that some lifts are designed purely for stairs which don’t have a turn in them. You should be able to ask the company you choose which model will be right for your own home.
In the end, stairlifts can give you a whole new lease on life. Don’t be restricted in your own home when there is no need to.
