The Cornwall Mobility Centre, a Registered Charity, provides a range of specialist services and equipment for people throughout the South West Peninsula to help with independent mobility.
National recognition
The largest most dynamic Mobility Centre with the biggest range of services within the UK Forum of Mobility Centres, to which the Centre is fully Accredited, we believe it was the first purpose built mobility centre of it's type in Europe. The services offered encompass assessments, information and advice for Paediatric mobility and transportation, daily living equipment, driving and wheelchairs, all of which are carried out by Professional staff.
Our Engineering services fit adaptations to vehicles in line with recommendations from assessments, and repair all types of mobility/rehab equipment.

Charitable Status / Objectives:
The Cornwall Mobility Centre Ltd. is a Charitable Company limited by guarantee, incorporated on 27th March 2003 and registered as a charity on 27th March 2003. The charity took over all the assets and liabilities of Cornwall Mobility Centre (registered charity) on 31st March 2003.

The objectives of the charity are:
The relief of poverty and distress among disabled persons, in particular, by providing or assisting in the provision of mobility aids.

The provision to such persons of equipment, for the purpose of increasing their mobility, and the provision of training in the use of such equipment.

Welcome to the Driving department
The Driving Department provides a range of services to assist clients to either learn to drive, resume driving or continue driving.
Whether you require lessons, need an assessment, would like to test the latest adaptations or require advice /information our Assessment Team can provide assistance.

Vehicle Adaptations
We encourage clients who require their vehicle to be adapted to have an assessment. There is a wide range of adaptations available from various manufacturers and we prefer to assess the most suitable type for clients' individual requirements. If you have previously had an assessment with the Centre and simply wish to transfer any existing adaptations to an alternative vehicle, there is usually no requirement to have an adaptations assessment, provided your personal circumstances have not changed.

Welcome to the Wheelchairs & Scooters
The Wheelchairs & Scooters Sales Department provides a range of mobility equipment to assist with independent mobility both indoors and outdoors.
We are able to assess the type of equipment most suitable for a client's requirements, including whether any customising or specialist adaptations are necessary in order to provide comfort, support, safety and independence.
